Test Analyst - ERP project (12 month contract) R35000 – Edenvale

The purpose of this job is to carry out and coordinate testing activities in order to ensure that agreed system criteria are met, root cause issues are identified, appropriate recommendations made, and feedback provided to support efficient project delivery .

Job specification:
Our client, a reputable company is ideally seeking an individual who is good at analysis, effective test case and scenario construction and has a demonstrated capability of selecting appropriate issues for further exploratory testing. Test cases should be built to find defects and not to only validate requirements. Effective use of appropriate testing tools and techniques is required. An individual who does not need to be reminded of when and how to use testing tools and techniques, and has the ability to correctly investigate root cause of defects and word defects in a clear and concise manner. You must be self-starter, someone who is eager to learn and add value, and for whom delivery is crucial.
Job skills, qualifications & experience requirements:
•Grade 12/ Senior Certificate – essential
•Tertiary qualification in the financial industry (e.g. B.Com degree, diploma) – an advantage
•ISTQB/SASTQB Advanced Test Analyst, or similar certification – ESSENTIAL
Minimum 5+ years testing experience required – ESSENTIAL
•Full understanding of the SDLC and TLC Experience in the logistics/transport industry – a definite advantage
•Previous experience in integration and exploratory testing
•ERP testing or accounting system testing experience – preferred (Sage X3 exposure an advantage).

Important to Note:
The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime / weekends when required.
